Meewasin is celebrating Arbor Week with SOS Trees! Our tree planting event will run near the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan parking lot in Kinsmen Park. We'll be planting a small collection of trees and some shrub material in a bed prepared beside the parking lot, before continuing on the Meewasin Trail to inspect the wrapped trees and willow stakes in the area. With the assistance of our head horticulturist Kathy, we'll learn more about the important of planting native tree species for our riverbank, and indeed the valley. Join us for a chance to plant a series of legacy species in this important area.
