Join the Meewasin Team with the Royal Astronomical Society for a Random Acts of Astronomy. Tonight is an exciting event in our Dark Sky at the Northeast Swale. On Sunday, May 15th at approximately 9pm, we will witness together a total eclipse of the moon. As the moon rises in the southeast, it will reach blood-red totality by 10:11 PM. We are told this is an excellent naked eye event and a clear view of the SE horizon is the best view so the Swale would be a good location.
